Thats typically what I get... are you hand calculating or using the display number.. If you are not highway turn off MDS at the shifter, let me know if you don't know how... basically just hit the +/- until the dash shows it in 6 then you are running on all 8.
I put it in that mode on back roads, and ride with MDS on the highway for long trips... I can get up to 19.... but that is running on 89. If I put in 87 I'm dropping down to 14-15.

I've been running 87, my next fill up ill try 89 and see if that helps, that is hand calculated which comes up around .6mpg less than what the computer shows

With a 2010, he should have the 5spd, not the 6spd. I can get 17-18 out of mine when all I do is commute the 15 miles to work. Most of it is at 65 with a few miles of stop and go at each end. I have a PC and keep it in Eco mode as that's where I like it.

I went through 89 and 87, hand calculated and didn't see much of a difference so I run the 87 in mine.

That's what I get on light traffic days. Stop and go drops me to 12.8mpg.

Comment above about turning MDS off when not on highway is great from a drivability standpoint. It keeps all eight cylinders firing so you're not lugging in 6th gear swearing it should have downshifted 45 seconds ago.

Ethanol plus winter fuel blend your within .5 gal of where you should be imho. Check your tire pressure. Other than that, it is what it is.
