I've got a 2012 R/T with the Alpine... how many speakers do these trucks actually have? I blew the one in my door and see it as an opportunity to do an overhaul. From what I understand, we have 2 in the doors, 2 in the rear, and 3 (?) in the dash. Crutchfield says the door and rears are 6.25"s. Just trying to clarify everything before I start buying.

With alpine you should have a total of 7 speakers yes. Your 3 dash speakers will be 3.5's, the front doors can take 6x9's but depending on what you go with you might need to make some modification for them to fit, and besides what crutchfield says will fit, I do not know what you can get to fit in the rear because I have a quad cab.

thanks for the reply. I'll dig a little deeper and see what my rears are. I have noticed you guys around here seem to really like the Kicker speakers. Great bang for the buck but I think I'll go along the lines of JL Audio, Alpine, Pioneer, etc.

Those of you who upgraded from the factory Alpine setup, were the aftermarket speakers you put in any louder than the factory speakers with the stock head unit? I have noticed the factory speakers don't distort at full blast like my 2005 Rumble Bee did.

7? i have 3 in the dash, 2 in the front doors, 2 in the back doors, and two in the back headliner, and a sub: 10 speakers.

Alpine option comes with 10 total speakers, unless that's only a crew cab thing...

Since you have an r/t you have 3 in the dash 3.5 2 in door 6x9 ( or use components some get 6x9 to fit some dont) and 2 in rear 6x9
