Do you think it broke a valve spring or just worn down lifter/cam lobe and misfire code?
I took the valve cover off and saw a push rod bent like a taco on cylinder 6. Cam and lifters where done 60k ago but its covid era parts so who knows truck has 145k on it so just barely broke in haha. Thats where i left it I will probably make a seprate thread for My truck whenever i have time to get to it after this one is done.

Hopefully a valve didn't kiss the piston hard enough to bend the valve stem

Not sure if that's worse than a broken spring but at least the valve is not unsupported.

thanks!.
Side note i just came home with another 2010 ram 2500 full sized 8ft bed has a blown hemi!...this is the downside to being a mechanic I wasnt looking for another project but people offer **** to you and the deals are always way to good and then your house starts to look like a dam junk yard lol. This new one will be taking a back seat until this truck and my truck are rebuilt tho ahaha I ordered a ton of parts hopefully get both trucks running in the next 2 weeks.

Before I throw it out figured id show what the piston looked like got lucky as hell it smashed it right in the middle ahaha. Also I have everything buttoned up basically ready to fire up just gotta go grab oil and filter tomorrow overall tho it was a very clean engine suprisingly and the bearings looked like new.

That's crazy that piston damage was most self contained. Nice work.

Awesome skills you have to knock it out that quickly and on to the next project. I just sold a car I have been fixing up but it's been almost 2 years of repairs/maintenance here and there.

Well the vredict on my own truck 2014 was a collapsed lifter.. no cam damage I had trash covid era lifters in it so that came around to get me lol. I guess I gotta bite the bullet and spend $750 on OEM freaking crazy how expensive they are.

Are the cheap ones on eBay a scam or something?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/396893351162
Be very careful ordering those,as Ebay and Amazon both have a rep of chinese knock-off lifters that look very similiar to the OEM lifters, including the boxes they come in. Lifters aren't something you want to cheap out on,as they're not exactly easy or cheap to replace if they do fail
