2012 to 2013 cruise control switch upgrade? (+/- gear)

Hey all,

I'm comparing these two parts between a 2012 and 2013. The housings and connectors look identical, but the newer model has gear + and - buttons.

I'm guessing it's not plug and play to add this feature to a 2012, but any idea if it's possible to get working? Would love to have this feature on the wheel vs. only on the shifter.

Do You have a 6 speed or an 8 speed?

Hmm I don't know if it's doable or not could try and see. I mean the rest of it would work all but the buttons.

The 8 speed has the gear + and - on the wheel, while the 6 speed trucks had the + and - on the stalk. Might work, who knows?

Thanks guys, obviously it's on me but do you think there's any risk of it damaging anything, or would likely just not work?

No worries of damage at all. It just won't work or it'll change your radio or something depending on what's programmed to the same resistance. If it doesn't work you may be able to activate it with Alfa obd. Maybe. Let us know how it goes I may be able. To help you further if need be.
