Hello, new to the forum and desperate. My check ABS brake warning had been on for about 6 months but didn't notice any issues with performance. Back in May 24' my 1500 got stuck in park (rotary shifter) , nothing I could do to make it shift. Used emergency neutral technique to tow to the dealer. After diagnosis they said the rotary shifter and abs module had to be replaced. The abs module has been on back order and still is, so my truck sat at the dealer for 3 months and I felt like an afterthought from the dealer. Finally had I towed back home unfixed. Replaced the rotary shifter module, will start but still won't shift. Ordered a brake sensor although my brake lights still work which will arrive this week. Everything I've researched said the abs module won't disable the shifter. So if the brake sensor doesn't fix it. What else could it be. Do I need to reprogram the new shifter module? Thanks in advance!

Thank you, would the abs module cause that issue, replaced the break pedal sensor and it didn't fix it

If dealer said so, I have nothing to counter it. Could be the cascading errors result in a fault that can't be cleared until all issues resolved.

Any update? I'm having same issue.
Should have a new to me module in this week. I'll post if it fixes issue.

Stuck in park fixed!!!!!

So to everyone else having the same issue, and lights on and truck won't shift out of park. It was a faulty ABS module, the abs pump was fine. Dealer had my truck for 4 months waiting on a new abs module that has been on back order since May (for me anyway) dealer said they had at least 15 other cars with the same problem. I bought a refurbished module of eBay for 550$, the video below shows u what u need and how to fix the issue step by step. I installed it, download alpha obd and bought the obd 2 interface. I will post all the links below. Dealer wanted to charge me 2400$ to fix, it only cost me 650$ and about an hour to fix myself. Hope this helps

Alpha obd app- download from the playstore

ABS module- eBay, get the correct one for model truck. The part number is on the white label on the side of the ABS pump.

Follow the steps in this video.

Early October I went to back my 2013 Dodge 1500 Tradesman (84,400 miles) out of the driveway and was presented with red BRAKE light, amber ABS and traction control lights on steady and single message "Service Antilock Brake System". OBDII scanner showed ABS control module internal fault code C2200-49. I went through all the recommended fused hot battery +12V, switched IGN/RUN +12V and GNDs at the ABS module 47 pin connector. All good. I asked Rick Hendrick Dodge, N. Charleston, SC, where I purchased the truck new in 2013 if they would order me a new ABS module 68210719AB and got the back story that there are none available and likely won't be.... have you met our "vehicle exchange coordinator"? Meaning, we'll offer you next to nothing on your excellent condition / low mileage truck and put you in something newer / similar for another $40k-$60k. Two weeks later, my truck would not shift from PARK with new codes U1467 (implausible driver shift request), P1DF3 (ECU not initialized), P0705-00 (transmission range sensor circuit malfunction), P0901-00 (gear shift control malfunction) and amber check engine light. Dodge said that while my bad ABS control module could potentially cause communication issues between the ABC, TCM, PCM and ESM ECUs, these codes were directly related to the shifting system and the ABS was probably not the primary cause. Solution, towed to Dodge, R&R the ESM, locked in PARK issue fixed, back to original ABS controller internal fault, no ABS, no traction control, no cruise control....

Fast forward almost 2 months worth of reading RamForum posts, self help videos, etc, I was able to purchase a used ABS pump / controller assy P68207201AC from S&W salvage in Atlanta for $589, 30 day VIN compatibility fit guarantee and 90 day warranty. Using the OBDLink MX+ purchased from Amazon ($111.96) and AlphaOBD for Android tablet from Google Playstore, I was able to successfully swap the ABS ECUs, initialize the replacement ECU and update to my VIN. Two days late and my fingers crossed, all is well.
