2 weeks ago I had my evaporator coil replaced. Immediately afterwards got esp bas, traction control, and service 4wd lights. Took it back to the mechanic that did the evap core and he replaced the brake switch, same day the evap was done. About ten days go by and the same lights come back and this time my truck is stuck in park!

Here are the codes:
P0571 brake switch 1 performance
C1000 brake pedal switch 1 circuit performance
U0401 implausible data received from ecm/pcm
U0415 Implausible data received from abs.

I tried to clear the codes, they immediately came back. Can't shift out of park fast enough to get it in drive after clearing codes.

I would like to take it back to the mechanic that did the evap and brake switch but I can't drive it there and don't know how they can tow it being stuck in park.

Anyone got ideas to get it out of park so I can take it in, or even outright how to fix the issue?

Check to see if your brake lights are stuck on and or not working if any of this is happening something is wrong with the brake switch and or wiring when the brake switch is installed it also requires adjusting.

On this advice, I went out and checked the brake lights. They were constantly on with the truck on. Made it to autozone just before they closed and got a new brake switch, threw it in and seems to have fixed the issue.

No more lights on the dash, brake lights work as they should and I can shift out of park. Upon installing the new switch I could immediately hear the brake transmission shift interlock click when the brake is applied, the part the shop put in was not doing that. Not sure if their part was bad or they just hadn't adjusted it correctly. Regardless, seems fixed now!

Thanks all.
