I recently bought a 2013 ram 1500 and wanted to change the head lights and fog light to 10k xentec HIDs I installed them just like I have in other trucks I've owned but this is something I have never seen with the truck off and the head light on it is fine. The second I start it they go into a strobe like mode. I let it do that for a few and they stopped all but one fog light. So I took it for a drive a when I stepped on the gas it would start flickering again I'm not sure what to do. And all of sudden service tire pressure system popped up on the dash has anyone else had this issue or know how to fix it? This is a pic of the kit I bought they would be nice if they worked

It has something to do with the TPMS. total power management system or something like that. They are very finicky when it comes to modding anything electrical like that. I would put it back to stock.

Most HID problems on these trucks seem to be solved with a canbus adapter.

I installed vvme hids into my 2013, got the flicker. Bought some $10 cancellers from ddmtuning.com and fixed the issue.

You'll need either Canbus Adapters or the whole relay harness (Your choice). JJ has them at a great price at 13+ Ram $30 for two very reliable Canbus Adapters is great.

Thank u very much I checked them out I'm just not sure if I have the quad lights or not I have just the stock regular dodge lights. Not the projectors And will those adapters work on the fog lights as well?

It's fairly easy to tell which lights you have.

1.) Dual; one solid light and a blinker housing (blinker housing goes directly to the single bulb seen through the front of the glass).

2.) Quad; Most common, blinker housing flows into a high beam lamp and a low beam lamp on top of it. Turn the headlights on with the brights, two bulbs per lamp will be visible.

3.) Projector; least common, a projector housing above an LED strip will be overly evident.

*Oh, and the Foglights use the regular 9006 adapters. I ordered the same for my low beams and projectors for my last truck (Picture next to my name <--)

A pair of $2, 4700uF 25+V capacitors will fix your strobing right up. Just did this myself last night. You add a leg of the cap to each of the +12V and ground where the HID kit grabs power from the stock harness.
*the ecu sends a pulsing +12V signal to the pie beams which results in reduced output (DRL). When you add HIDs, the kit will actually turn on and off as fast as the ecu was during the lows before, casing the strobing.

The hd halo he lights are garbage 100%. My first set leaked real bad, loaded with condensation. Pro tuning lab made me pay for a second set, they were hooked up the exact Sam way,now the passenger side low beam won't work after spending(wasting) the money on these pieces of **** I finally orderd a set of original equipment. BEWARE OF THIS JUNK!!!!!!!!!

I bet pro tuning lab screws me over when it comes time for them to refund my $. O yea, they charge a 20% restocking fee. What scumbags, good thing I don't live close to them, I would ram them down their throats. ASSHOLES.

Replace your hid kit with a quality kit, cheap kits will cause interference in fm radio signal and issues with tpms, you can also try ferrite beads or ferrite snap on cores on the power leads of the ballasts, available at places like radio shack or circuit city
