Hi all, I currently own the 2013 Ram Tradesman Single Cab with the 5.7L and 6-speed Auto Trans. For quite a bit I have noticed the transmission will occasionally clunk when coming to a stop. The transmission more recently has been hanging gears when for example passing other cars. The transmission also seems to hesitate when shifting gears. And lastly, some of the shifts feel very rough, especially in lower gears. Anyone have any advice on what this could be? I have already had my transmission fluid checked and it seems to be perfectly fine. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

If you are still under warranty tale it to the dealer and have it checked. They most likley will do nothing as usual but then you are documenting that you have a problem. If it continues keep taking it back. There is no way for anyone on the forum to experience exactly how hard it shifts or how long in hangs up in a gear. It might be considered normal and in might not. If the way it shifts and operates has changed obviously something is different. The dealer will most likley blow you off but be persistent about your problem and make a paper trail in case you need it for the future. It may be something as,simple as a software issue. Just my two cents.

There are adaptives in the transmission programming that will try to learn how you normally drive then begin to adapt the shift pattern to meet those normal driving habits. First thing I would do is reset them to see if it's the adaptives or not, this is done by disconnecting the battery for a minimum of 20 minutes. If it's still acting funny after that then you know it's not the adaptives and can start looking at the trans itself or the programming but as most have said, it's entirely possible that's just the way yours shifts.
