Hi all I know someone else on this forum has probably asked this question and I apologize. I have looked a little bit and just saw somebody else was asking about one. At any rate I am seriously considering a 2013 Cummins crew cab 4x4 with 115,000 miles and basically I just want to know what issues this truck may have to look for as warning signs ? I am going to do My homework like ask about maintenance and service , car fax etc. it seems fairly priced at about 29K and is in pristine clean condition I get really serious I will take it to a shop to get checked out before making such a commitment I only diesel experience is in the Ford IDI world. This would be my first Dodge !

29K!? Holy cow -- those CTDs must hold their value well. That's more than I paid for my new 1500. Good luck in whatever you decide.

Isn't that pre DEF ? If I am correct, they have lousy fuel mileage. Turbo must be cleaned of soot regularly and have fuel dilution issues. Dilution into the oil. In pre DEF, this was known as "making oil". Do your research.

Are you financing?
The apr on that has to be 5-8%
After all said and done you can get a brand new tradesman for 42k-45k at 0-2.9% so 15k more?
Do the math, you could end up paying more for something 5-6 years old and no warranty. Just something to think
About.

They are Pree deff but they have a particulate filter, and the mileage isn’t that great on them.
