I have a 2014 1500 Bighorn 3.6. Have had no issues since first buying it and waiting for the fix with the shifting. Have only had to do general maintenance of changing fluids, filters, tires and did a tune up last year.

It has just under 110,000 and of course the warranty is now gone. Anything others started to experience around this point? Things to keep an eye on? Any suggestions as to some other preventative things that may want to address to hopefully avoid greater issues?

Thanks for any responses.

The coolant is supposed to be 10 year but I think that's optimistic. Never too early to change it but if you haven't yet, wouldn't be a bad idea. Just get the OEM stuff from the dealer, 50 bucks every 5-8 years isn't that much money.

Coolant contains sacrificial rust inhibitors that age whether the engine's running or not.

I assume whatever you're referring to on the shifting fix is something to do with the transmission, is that being opened up? The 8 speed should have its fluid changed well before 100k miles despite Ram's lifetime claim.

Otherwise nothing else to worry about at this point.

on the shifting thing it was right when I bought it in 2014. Would shift hard and the dealership said at that time they were working on a fix. Came out about 4-6 months later and never had an issue since.
