I have a 4th gen 2500 6.4L. Was having fuel pump issues and put in a new TIPM. Followed the step by step directions and it worked great for the next 5-6 starts through the day. Went to leave to take my some to practice, jumped in the truck, it fired up, put in reverse, went about 6’ and it died. Thought maybe I didn’t give it enough time to warm up. No big deal. Put it in park and went to start it, wouldn’t start. Then, I couldn’t pull the key out. Tried messing with it and still couldn’t get the key out. Disconnected the battery then said screw it and swapped out vehicles. Come back 3 hours later and tried to hook up battery cables. Definitely had voltage as they sparked like crazy, so never really connected them.
Got in the cab and was able to get the key to the off position and remove it. Put it back in and turned it, no start, put the old tipm back in, no start, no lights, nothing.
Put the battery charger on it and it immediately clicked off as having 12 volts. So battery doesn’t seem to be the problem.
Any thoughts on this? The battery seems good but I’m at a loss. I have no lights on in the cab, now power locks, windows, and won’t even pull up the dash.
