2014 express remote start

I am getting ready to order and install an OEM remote start. I know the dealer as to activate it. But my question is will the truck start after I install the the box for me to drive it to the dealer?

I am pretty sure it will not start after you install everything but I could be wrong. I forgot to bring a key to the dealer when they installed mine and it will not start the truck until I have that key reprogrammed.

My understanding is that once you install the OEM remote start, the original key fob does not work any longer. I believe there are two different OEM versions, but my experience is the one that comes with two key fobs did not work until activated, at which time the old one no longer worked.
