Scenario:
- First vehicle at red light; crossing intersection to go enter EB Loop 202 onramp
- Heavy throttle application (approx. 50%) on green light
- Cross traffic vehicle decides to roll through the intersection (her red light)
- Full brake applied; lay on horn
- I can see the driver as she looks left (towards me) due to the horn. She is talking on her cell phone (holding phone to left ear)

What I Expected:
- My truck stops, she continues rolling through, having been annoyingly interrupted by a red light and cross traffic.
- I swear, apply throttle, and continue on my way

What I Got:
- My truck stops, she continues rolling through, having been annoyingly interrupted by a red light and cross traffic.
- I apply throttle and get nothing
- Tachometer shows 0 RPM
- EVIC says "Shift to Park"
- I am at a dead stop in the middle of the intersection
- I shift to park, restart engine, shift to drive and go

What. The. F**K.

Notes:
- The ignition key was not moved; it was in "run" the entire time
- There are no other keys on the key chain; there is no additional weight on the key
- Truck is less than 1 year old; approx 20K miles
- All scheduled maintenance completed
- 50% fuel in tank remaning

Any thoughts, ideas, similar experiences?

I am fighting an emotional reaction right now. My family was in the car; words cannot describe how thrilled I was that the engine stalled (I am being sarcastic).

Did you get a code? Had a different fluke situation that required me to pull over and turn engine off. Almost like a transmission slip, threw code, dealer read and and 2nd gear clutch blah blah was the code. They reset it and haven't seen it since.
I started from a red light, to about 15 then rpms just rev without truck moving. I coasted to the side of the road and shut it off and turned back on and proceeded on my way. So many electronically controlled things on newer vehicles it could be anything.

Yeah, the dealer is going to hear about it ASAP. I don't have a code reader but that's a good suggestion.
