Alright here we go:

First off thanks to all you guys for your tutorials and troubleshooting guides. If it wasn't for you guys I would have ended up with a $3200 mechanic bill just for replacing a DEF tank. DEF fluid crystallized to integrated sensor in def tank. Removed filler hose from tank, siphoned def, put in distilled water, let it soak, siphoned out, put new def fluid in, started right up! I truly appreciate what you guys do here and have my respect. Now onto some other issues I have that I cant seem to find clarity on.

1. Any updates on getting a swapped 8.4 Ra4 to have full Uconnect access? I have a Canada built truck with the 8.4 ra4 but doesnt have Uconnect and want to know if I can swap out the unit with a US version and have full Uconnect access (I live in the US). I read something about the VIN has to be from the original truck or something. Thread was a couple months old so was hoping for an update.

2. If that doesnt work, is there an alternative to Uconnect? I just want to be able to remote start my vehicle from my phone with the OEM remote start installed.

3. If no reasonable solution comes to mind, is there something I can upgrade to that will work like a 10.4 Tesla style head unit that might possibly have a OEM remote start app? I really dont want to swap out the remote start.

4. Is there an alternative to WiTech 2.0? My keyless entry is intermittent, so is remote start, key fob, and the tpms message comes up on the cluster showing dashes where the psi number should be. The dealership attached a copy of "Customer satisfaction notification P15" which states that certain models need to have the rfh updated and show using WiTech 2.0. My dealership cant do it and says I have to take it to a Chrysler dealership but there are no guarantees that will fix the problem because my VIN or Manufacturing date doesnt fall within the specified models it effects. Why they attached I will never know because Chrysler and Chrysler dealership says it's not a tsb for my vin in dealerconnect. Check engine light isnt on either if that helps. I did replace batteries in key fob but no difference.

5. Are OEM backup cameras plug and play or are additional services required? My OEM installed backup camera became foggy which I figured was from condensation build up, so I bought another OEM backup camera to replace. My original part number was 56038978AG but I guess its replaced by the 56038978AL which is what I bought from Moparfactoryparts.com.

I have skimmed the forums for these answers and cant seem to find any clarity. If you have any further questions to help out feel free to ask. My response time should be no more than 10 minutes. I own a 2014 Ram 1500 Laramie 3.0L Turbo Ecodiesel 4wd. Any information would be very helpful. Even pointing me in the right direction or a link to another post where the question at hand has been answered. Thanks for taking your time to read this and sorry if it isnt in the right section!

Well the Ra4/VP4-CA would be a direct swap to a USA VP4-NA radio, but not sure how uConnect would treat your truck and if you could even get the service working. We know that non factory 8.4 trucks that do the full upgrade/conversion to a 8.4 haven't been allowed onto FCA's service (1 or 2 exceptions we're reported to have been done through WiC by knowing so n so).

Can't answer about an alternative for phone based remote start. Maybe someone else will chime in about maybe a viper or Dball2 setup?

Alternate to witech ... See AlfaOBD thread

Tesla radio? @SitKneelBend has more experience with it and the various ram 8.4 radio upgrades than most people here I believe. Not sure he'd recommend it over what you've got.

Backup camera part should be plug n play. The last 2 letters are irrelevant in most cases.

Thanks Mpgrimm! I was told different things from multiple different people about the radio swap and I just dont know if it's even worth it. Especially because the main reason I wanted to do it was for the remote start but if someone else knows of an app that can do it I am perfectly content with that! As far as alfaobd goes I wasn't too sure on its capabilities so thanks for clarifying that up. I am currently reading the Tesla post right now and I must say awesome concept but it looks like a big headache. I dont know for sure tho I'm on page 3 I think. I noticed you said most cases on the backup camera. Could you specify on that matter a little more or give me an example? I know sometimes when the last two numbers change it could be due to a component replacement or things of that sort. Thank you though

If the first 6 digit prefix is the same on a Mopar PN, you should be good. We have seen a few 2018 UAx radios with AA suffix early on that appeared to be engineering samples or export units.

Tesla thread.... Probably get a good feel if you read the last 5 pages of posts
