This is driving me absolutely bat ****. My window switch quit working one so I bought a new one and did a swap. Didn’t work. Then I bought a window control module which is inside the door and swapped it. Didn’t work. When I did my engine swap a couple weeks ago and had the battery disconnected for a little while the driver and passenger widows started working for a day or two. Now again not working. So last night just to see if it would do the trick I disconnected the battery for 10 minutes. Reconnected it and the window switch started working once again. After about to different short trips to the store and back now it’s dead again. What is actually wrong and how can I fix this? Please help! This is frustrating the hell out of me!!!!

With your Door open, try working the window switch.

Sometimes the wiring between the Door & the Cab Body begins to malfunction

I had to repair the wire in the harness going thru the door on my 2004.5.
Sometimes they break.
The rubber boot is easy enough to manipulate if memory serves.
I'll bet a ham sandwich it's broken.
