My Ram has a little over 23k on the odometer with about 11k of towing my 31 foot travel trailer which is way below the rated capacity.
My problem is I am getting a noise from the rear suspension. I got under the truck and with a hard rubber mallet started tapping at everything. Everything was tight and noiseless. EXCEPT the big "knuckle" on the large lower control arm. (there are 4 of these two upper and two lower.)
I can reproduce the noise I am hearing by tapping either the side of the arm itself or the "knuckle". It seems it might be the bushings inside are worn?
I am currently in the Baja near Cabo San Lucas so getting to a US Dodge dealer is not an option right now.
Does anyone have any ideas what this might be...am I correct in my assumptions? Has anyone had this problem?
this is way too little mileage for a problem like this to show up.
Any help will be much appreciated. thanks
