Hello. I am having a slightly frustrating issue with my truck and are seeking advice on where to beginning. I have a 2019 Ram 2500 Mega Cab with a 6.7 Cummins. 80k miles. The issue is am having is when it rains or in snowy wet condition my truck starts to have electricial issues. My power running boards will start to act up half deploying and send error to the dash board. I also at the same time my tail light with flash on the dash board as being out. Sometimes just one and some times both one minute the fine the next. I replaced the motor on the power running boards and the new motor did the same thing as the old one so I know it's not that. Once weather drys up and a few days later everything works fine again. I am thinking it's something with the wiring that runs along the under side from the power steps to rear where tail lights and trailer light wire harness is. Anyone know what this could be and where I need to start to fix my problem? Any help would be much appreciated.

Are you the original owner, and are the running boards OE?

Try to inspect the harness running along the left frame rail from the engine compartment to the trailer plug on the back bumper.
This supplies power for the taillights and trailer connector.

Inspect the wiring from end to end for chaffing marks or signs of damage.
The 4th gen 2500 schematic I have shows a connector at both ends.
If the wiring looks OK, look for connectors at the ends, disconnect, inspect and clean as required.

Your description sounds like a water ingress problem.

And welcome to Ram Forum.
