I got a 2014 2500 for towing, and right now I'm hating it for towing compared to my old paid-for FORD
. I have a vintage 62 camping trailer and a 2004 horse trailer. Camper lights didn't work, dealer told me it was the trailer. We rewired the camper because the lighting didn't seem to work (at all). It worked with everyone else's vehicle. Now we have brake lights, turn signals, but no running lights. My 2004 horse trailer has brakes, brake lights, turn signals, but no running lights. Both trailers worked perfect with my Ford, and they continue to work with a 2007 GMC Yukon and a 2012 Chevy pickup. My friend's BRAND NEW 2013 horse trailer with LED lights same thing, no running lights, but brakes, turn, etc. The dealer says "its the trailer, not the truck." Well, I cannot re-wire every trailer in the universe, as I often pull client trailers and friends' trailers. They tell me to get an adapter and use the 4 hole plug which is ridiculous when I buy a new truck TO TOW WITH and it doesn't work with any trailers. And obviously all 6 trailers I have hooked it too cannot be messed up the same way, when they work with every other vehicle. What is wrong with the new 2014 wiring???
