2015 4x4 TIPM issues

hoping this is the right place to discuss this.
I have a 2015 Ram 1500. My 4x4 light is out and the truck only has RWD. The dealership has said my TIPM needs to be replaced. I've been looking at vehicle specific parts and there is many different price options online. If I have the same part number the dealership gave me is the unit plug and play? I've read a couple different things and some say programming is required while others say it is not.
Is there a fuse or something I could check first?
Is there a way to enclose the fuse box to protect from future damage?

Placed an order for 68322371AD and was sent 68580830aa. Dodge dealership said this is the replacement their system recommended. I am curious to know if anyone has any input?

Contact Benny, at allmoparparts, here on the forum via private message, ask him the question provide your VIN and he will be able to tell you if it's correct or sell you the correct one

Wait they told you its a tipm and your only issue is 4x4 not working? never heard a tipm cause 4x4 issues could be a firs tho. But it does not sound right at all lot of things can cause 4x4 not to work on these trucks they are very tepermental when it comes to the 4x4 system did you have someone else besides the stealership look at it/scan it? have you tried unhooking battery for a hour to reset everything? what all have you done to it this far?

They checked it while it was there for the replacement of the electronic power steering. I have not had anybody else check for anything. I dont know if this is the easier fix or whats going on. I have the replacement part in my possession and hope to have this issue fixed soon because I keep getting stuck in the snow.

Well looking at the vehicle fitment charts, the 68580830AA only has the 2022 Classic and 68322371AD is for 2015-2021 including the classic ...

So "I" would say you are fine with that one ... check it make sure yours has everything that one has and you should be good to go ... do you see anything different ?

I would bet money its not the tipm but let us know I am curious. But in my exp most comon cause is the electronic motor on the tcase/the connections going to it . Also have seen speed sensors cause 4x4 issues and other times a restart will fix the issue so

I don't have any dash lights, no service 4wd notice, and no light on the 4wd control itself. I have the push button selection.

Mine is like this now, the green connector under the Tipm has broken wires. The whole connector is corroded. Repinned one tonight now I have 4wd back. Check out the connectors on the bottom and pins for corrosion
