Hey yall, 2015 Ram 1500 5.7L giving me problems. It's been running fine, parked for about 5 hours and when I came back it won't turn over, no clicking, UConnect is blank and the only message I have is a "Remote Start Disabled. Start Vehicle to Reset" In the dash. It's got a full tank. I tried jumping but it didn't do anything initially, only waited for a minute to at least hear a crank. Any suggestions?

Remove battery cables and touch them together for 30 seconds or so, then try again. Another person noted this problem and it would appear that there is an issue with the truck recognizing the key/fob.

Most likely a dead battery. When a battery cell goes bad (and it can happen in an instant with no warning) it acts like a drain hole. You can charge it all day and nothing will happen. It’s like trying to fill your sink without plugging it somehow to keep the water in. Battery generally only reliably last 3-4 years. My suggestion would be to have a local shop test the voltage and then do a load test on it. If the voltage goes anywhere near 10 bolts or less, get a new battery.

I'd like to add my lights came on, remote start worked once but died when I put my key in to start it.

It could be the key fob. Try replacing the battery in the key fob and see if anything changes? Lights coming on will generally happen unless the battery is beyond dead though.

That's what I'm thinking since the remote start worked. Maybe demagnetized the fob somehow. I'll check back in with my results guys

Starter maybe as You said “no clicking” or maybe wiring issue? Most likely battery in either fob or truck like everyone saying.
I just had this problem and changed the battery and she was fine. I live up here in northern Ontario where she gets as low as -40, plus all
My aftermarket electrical hook ups, drained my battery. Even got the money light code for low voltage.
Any code?

Well its the keyfob. Managed to get home to get my spare to try. I was 3 hours away from the casa. Not sure how it lost its programming within a matter of a few hours. It still unlocks and locks the truck but the ignition switch doesn't "see it".

Thanks for the Update ! I would try a new battery in that key FOB and see if it works ! The battery could have been on it's last leg when you tried it and then died :O

That sucks that you were that far from home when it happened but at least it’s an easy fix. Try a new battery in it before you replace the fob itself. I had that happen not long ago but I was in a Walgreens parking lot when it happened.

Merry Christmas and please let us know if it was only the FOB battery ! I also have a 2015 with original battery so I am curious in case I ever run into that issue !

U R saying keep an extra FOB battery in the glove and not another fob, I hope... Just a saying....

^^^^^^^^^^^^ Just to echo above, definitely Battery Fob/truck or both. U just got to investigate. Now with a 4-5 year old truck battery, keep yer eyeball on dat puppy, with all the power these trucks draw, U neva know. All IMHO...

I haven't dealt with it with the RAM yet. My MDX actually tells you on the dash when your fob battery is getting weak. Does the RAM not do that?

don't think a dead battery in the fob would not start the truck. It did start on remote, that is what the battery is for, is it a push button start? I you hold the fob against the start button , it should start. one time I had to do that with my '14 sport with keyless entry and button start. Next time it worked
Does sound like the truck not seeing the fob.

I don't think the truck tells you when to change the battery, But I am not sure.
