Hello guys, I don't usually post here but I am sure needing some help. So I have used alphaobd a few times but no expert. When changing my bcm out, I did not run a back up config file. (Totally forgot). I am asking anyone for a config file for a 2015 ram 1500 5.7 Laramie. I know I messed up and don't need to hear all that as I've been cussing myself plenty. I put the new bcm in, then realized my mistake. I took it back out, put in the old one so I could hook up alpha obd and back it up. But now no gauges , no start. Admittedly I was very rough with the old one when removing it. This morning at daylight I will start by checking all fuses and testing all relays but I am thinking I broke the old one worse than it was. I had the battery disconnected during the whole process, Last night I disconnected it, touched positive and negative together for several seconds, walked away until this morning. That all helped nothing.

Here are the issues I'm hoping to fix with the new BCM . I have a minor taillight gremlin. Since I have owned it, with right turn signal on, after a few seconds you get a chime, dash light saying parking light out. NO light out but then the right taillight turn signal, brake light no longer works until re-started.
More importantly, recently the gauge cluster stays illuminated , draining and ruining a 3 month old battery.
And then the steering wheel heater. I know it could be the module under my seat and I will worry about that later if it isn't fixed by this job. I did go through the TIPM, finding the fuses that had a drain them. I even found the hood light being on so my method was accurate. I forget the actual fuse numbers but it lead me to the BCM.

My wife has a 2015 Sport which would be the same or atleast a very similar BCM config. Not cooled seats but heated seats/steering wheel and all the goodies. It's in a snow bank right now parked for the winter, but if no one chimes in in a couple days I can bust into it and try and download the config file for it and send you it.

I also have a '15 Sport with pretty much every option and will try to get the config off it tomorrow. The controller under the drivers seat on mine is for the air suspension only. Just had the AlfaOBD connected today to delete the Air suspension.

New bcm as in brand new or used? It needs proper coding of a vin and secret keys before its allowed to even ignition on. That explains the unresponsiveness. Your old bcm can be cloned to the new one which will solve that issue of the config file. And then carefully install the cloned replacement knowing all will be well. It helps incredibly to remove the parking brake in order to massage the bcm out. I work with dodge vehicles often and some customer had failed to properly latch a few plugs into their bcm. I clone with usbjtag. I know you're not going to the dealer with it. They are incompetent vultures. Especially The one near you in Desoto. By the way hello from Hillsboro.
