2016 Ram 1500 Diablo T2 Question

Before you go to install the new PCM do you need to first hook up the tuner to get any information or do you just install the new unlocked PCM and do your tunes? I cannot find any info on what you are supposed to do first. I followed a video online, but it was for a 2019 and he hooked the T2 (tuner) first and it gave him the Ok to install unlocked PCM first. So I went and did that and I got an error. So not sure if I have to reset the tuner and then go through all the steps again. Thank you

First plug your T2 into your computer and check for updates at DiabloSport's website.

Ok I did do all that yesterday. So I am good to just replace the stock PCM without doing anything else correct?

Well yes, just make sure to follow the instructions and unplug the negative battery terminal before anything.
