2016 Ram 1500 front trim

I have a 2016 Ram 1500 Big Horn with the chrome bumper. I want to build a front bumper but the flexible trim piece between the body and bumper is an awkward shape. I would like to replace it with the smaller trim pieces that fit just under the lights on the 2500.

1. What is this trim piece called?
2. Is this even remotely feasible?
3. Is there a 4x4 trim piece that would work better?
