2016 Ram 1500 Remote Start

I bought this truck for my wife a year ago. She has asked that I install a remote start. The truck was originally built for Canada.
I looked in my service manual (all 14,000+ pages) and it states that the wiring for the hood latch switch is standard on all models. Ive looked around the hood latch area and there is no hood latch plug end anywhere. If I cant find it then I will have to result in running a wire from the multipin plug under the drivers side fuse box to the BCM, pin 11. Im really hoping someone might know where the hood latch plug may be tucked away at.

I have bought the latch/switch combo before but I can not find the plug that plugs into the latch. The service manual states that the wiring is stock on all models. Hoping someone can point me to where it is hiding.

If it’s there it would be tucked under the top radiator support. I don’t have pictures but that’s where mine was. However in my truck the wiring did not make it back to the bcm. The corresponding terminals were empty. I ended up just stuffing a wire in the pin slot and grounding it and it worked for me. I don’t remember which pin slot needs to be grounded though.

All of the OEM kits I have seen come with the hood switch harness. I don't believe the harness would be included it was installed on every Ram truck they build.

I had the plug in the harness for the hood latch. I installed the new hood latch with the switch on it. Alpha sees the hood is closed but remote start don't work. Horn beeps once but nothing happens. 2016 ram 1500 tradesman

Hey crazykid 1994, so you're saying if we ground pin 11 and do the Alpha OBD we can have remote start?
