Hey everyone . So long story. About a month ago I had my brakes replaced at Mavis . I drove home (about 3 miles ) with no issues. Around 8 pm I go out and a few blocks away from my house I feel the rear end to be a little loose . I look in my mirror and see the rear drivers side tire swaying . I go to pull over and before I stop the wheel falls off. Mavis obviously didn’t tighten the lug nuts . I couldn’t find the lug nuts because it was dark to put the spare on because my rim was ruined as the holes were worn away . I called a tow truck and he pulled it on to the flatbed without the tire mounted. I went back in the morning to see if I could locate the lug nuts which I did. I then went home and put the spare tire on. I called Mavis and told them what happened and that they needed to fix this. They sent over a tow truck to bring it to their shop. They ended up replacing my rim, new pad, rotor , studs and lug nuts . I’ve noticed since this happened that the truck doesn’t drive the same. I feel an occasional wobble or sway while driving on the highway . It’s not often, but I feel it. I’ve had my mechanic check it and test drive it and he says everything is fine . It could just be in my head, but I know how my truck rides and it feels different . I know I need a wheel alignment ( it’s slightly off) which I’m planning on doing . I also recently installed a hellwig sway bar (before this happened), so I’m going to check and make sure it hasn’t loosened. Is there anything else I should be looking for ? I was almost at a complete stop when the wheel fell off , so I don’t think I could’ve damaged anything else. Again it could all be in my head that the truck feels different . So, guys , what do you think ? What else should I check ? Any help would be greatly appreciated .
