I have a 2017 Laramie 3500 4x4 with the center console, all black with leather cooled seats etc...

I really need the option for seating 6 now and don't want to sell m truck! All the threads i see about seat swaps are going to opposite direction, my main concern is my truck has the a/c vents and heated rear seat buttons on the back of the console that the jump seats dont appear to have...

is there a special lower section of the jump seat for laramie trucks with those buttons etc? Havent seen one on Ebay, only ever seen a couple laramies online with the jumpseat and a/c vents buttons etc on the back....

almost thinking about going to dealer to price a new seat which im sure will be astronomically expensive!

anyone have any info?
better yet anyone in the DFW Texas area want to swap a jumpseat for a center console?

And the swap is straight forward for both of us. Should mount up easy in both

Recovering with leather isn't a huge deal for me, but do you have the air vents for the rear seats?

I've seen a center seat with rear air vents and heated seat buttons before in powerwagons and a few others but not many....

Dealer says I can not buy a complete center seat, only all the pieces (even foam and hinges separate) and put them together...very expensive too..

anyone know of a junkyard in the DFW area i could look at with later model vehicles? I'm thinking i'll just get a cloth seat and have it recovered- still open to a swap if anyone is interested and fairly close in DFW area.

A few other considerations to keep in mind.

In order to get to a factory appearance you must also acquire a new center radio stack cover bezel and a lower bezel for the dash. The lower bezel comes with a 12-volt power outlet and a USB power outlet that will not have wiring to support their use and must be wired in from the console wiring.

You also need the plastic floor console to cover the area previously covered by the larger center console. Air duct runs under it along with wiring and there is a module bolted in you cannot relocate easily.

The rear A/C will still work, and ducting should already be installed with the jump seat, however, you must acquire the adapter that connects from the dash outlet into the seat ducting. The jump seat bolts into the existing passenger seat easy enough, but passenger seat must be removed to access the holes. There may be a panel from Chrysler that has the heated rear seat switches for the jump seat air duct panel, however, you could possibly cut and mount the switches from your existing panel into it.

As far as seating an actual human in that seat, anyone larger than a child will monkey stomp the plastic console or have one foot in each foot well. Also, only has a lap belt and limited to no airbag coverage in case of an accident. Lap belt means whomever is sitting there is going to potentially smash their face into the stereo screen. In my opinion the jump seat serves only as a marketing ploy to say they seat six

I just ripped out the jump seat from my Laramie Power Wagon to install the console and these were the steps I had to take in reverse. I can sell you everything, not sure what shipping would cost though as the jump seat has some weight to it and bulky.
