You're still under the 3/36 warranty then call the dealer & let them fix it. You could try disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes to "reset" it but if that works it may happen again once you're out of warranty then it'll be out of your pocket to diagnose.

Thankuou. Unfortunately its previously owned. Out of warranty and I havent set up xtra warranty just yet. It's in the shop now. Someone said it may be throttle body but that made no sense to me as it wouldnt even turn.over

I'm not sure, they do have it at the shop. Hopefully nothing too hugely wrong.. does really make me.mad however. This is the newest truck and most expensive I've ever owned. Less than a week and it's in the shop.... Regardless, thnakyou for your input. I'll share the fix when they find it so others have a place to start lookkng

BATTERY issue somewhere, either battery or cable somewhere. Least likely issue: starter.....

And @ turkeybird56 thanku fornyour service
Thanks.. Circuit not closed somewhere. Guess maybe starter, maybe loose ground since U say U got power, of course BATTERY Could be shorted also.

Not sure whether or not U can chump over the starter to attempt to engage,. Not crawled under these new rides to look. Somebody turns a wrench betta than me needs to chime in,...

As far as a fuse, now I sincerely dunno on dat... (Just definitely not a closed circuit somewhere, be it bad battery, cable, etc<><>>)

Why is it out of warranty, is it over 36000 miles?

So, after hearing horror stories from bbn others, and fearing the worst case scenario, should have stuck with what I know. Dodge starters go out and that's the worst.... thankyou you all for your input! Also having the tranny flushed at 73945 miles its due!

I'm 49 and at 5 am at -5 b4 windchill I wasnt going underneath just had to work and took the wifes truck. If it had been summertime I would have knowing about dodge starters as a teenager! There is a 15 second time after you start to get under and beat on the starter with a hammer!! It's a Dodge, it's what we used to do growing up

Did the ole bang technique on a chit load of GM also. I wonder, can he jump over the posts on the starter to see if it turns over? Can U get to them to do it???? Hmmmm. Of course with these "new" rides, with all the electronics, HMmmmmmmm.
