I have a 2017 Ram 1500 Big Horn with approximately 130,000 miles. I've owned the truck since it had about 12,000 miles.

For several weeks, I was getting an intermittent Low Battery Voltage warning. The warning would appear and disappear every few days. I also noticed the battery voltage gauge fluctuating significantly while driving, especially when running accessories such as the A/C and radio. Parts that had already been replaced: Battery, alternator, Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), Battery terminals/fuse assembly. I tested both the battery and alternator multiple times, and both checked out as good. Despite that, the voltage gauge continued to swing up and down and the low voltage warning kept returning.

The actual fix was a loose power distribution/fuse box connection. One of the main retaining screws/nuts for the power distribution connection was not fully tight. Tightening the connection resolved the issue immediately. Since tightening the connection, the voltage gauge has remained stable and the low battery voltage warning has not returned.

Hope this will help some of you that are experiencing the same issue.

Good catch. Some PPL would have never figured it out. An intermittent ground do that also.
