I just did an oil change on my 2018 Laramie with the 5.7 Hemi and 8spd. I was under the truck looking around and found rust on the oil pan and I also noticed the 8spd trans pan was let above the exhaust crossover. The truck only has 34k on it and I have another 70k before the theoretical tranny fluid flush and change would be required. Seems like a leak to me at the back of the trans and not near the slip Yoke and could be caused by exhaust heat?

It's pretty rare for the 8spd to leak. Mine was "leaking" in the same area. Found the intake manifold leaking due to damaged gaskets. Oil was traveling off the back of the engine, down wire harness, & then off back of the trans. 8 spd trans fluid is clear ish green.

Looks like you're still within your warranty period. I would let them figure it out
