Have a chance to buy a 2018 with 61,000 miles mint condition. Just a little nervous about pulling the trigger with all the bad reviews.
What kind of reliability and longevity? Thoughts opinions?

My 2015 is at 92,000 still runs good.
It has had a few issues, lost the tone ring and the engine temperture sensor started to fail.
Plus all the recalls.
I would buy another.

Just my opinion, but if you're just looking for a daily driver and mpg, don't overlook the V6. If you need the grunt of the diesel, I would want the gen 3 ecodiesel.

Luck of the draw.
I have a 2017 ED with 51K on the clock........new engine arrives this Thursday! Thankfully, it is under warranty.
Hoping the new engine will last.

Depending on what the in-service date is you could be looking at 2 years or just a little over a year left on the factory powertrain warranty. The diesel warranty is 5 years / 100,000 miles and is transferrable to a second owner but it is unclear about third, fourth, etc.. owners.

What's the asking price? If it is reasonable, have an Ecodiesel or RAM dealer diesel mechanic inspect the engine, transmission and axles with a fine tooth comb. Anything found should be deducted from the selling price of the vehicle.

Good luck and keep us posted.
