Hello Ram World,
So I have a 2018 Ram 1500 Hemi 5.7 Laramie 4x4-
My question is that I have no other issues with my transmission except if I sit idling in a parking lot, like waiting on my wife to come out of the grocery store. Then I shift to drive [dial 8 speed], and then it feels like I'm stuck in a low gear for few seconds (30-40) before it starts functioning properly again. So its repeatable, just don't know how big of a problem this is. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have not taken it into a shop yet, wanted more info on this to see if this is something I can do myself based on suggestions/recommendations.

Start with the basics, check the fluid level. Here's the procedure for checking the 8 speeds fluid level. FYI you need to jack the rear tires roughly 8/9" in the air to level the transmission.
