The Classic's still use the 8HP70 transmissions, you need the new body style 19 to get the upgraded 8HP75.The MY Classics are FCA's way of using up 2018 left over parts
And I'm glad they did, I couldn't find a decent 2018...the 2019 Classic was exactly what I wanted too.

Well guys, I am at about 2800 miles and I just had a call from the service department at the dealer. They was wanting to know if I was at my 5,000 mile mark, and if I am ready to bring it in for service. I thought that was convenient that I am at the mark I want to change my oil at and they was asking if I was ready...

So I went to the dealer last night and they did the first oil change on the Ram. I was waiting in the lobby and the mechanic sends me a link via text to a video. The mechanic videos a quick 60 second video checking tires, brakes, fluids, etc. I thought that was cool but if it was me changing the oil I wouldn’t want anything slowing me down.

Anyway... service was quick and great.. I haven’t crawled under the truck to check their work yet. But on the way home I noticed my pillar. Grease all over it!

I was pissed so I called the service department and they notified customer service.. they should give me a call today.

How would you guys feel?

Take your truck back and show it to them. If your going to continue to use this dealership for your service IMHO you need to let them know in no uncertain terms that this is not how you keep your truck and it is not acceptable. All that shows(to me anyway) is that the tech was to damn lazy to wash his hands before he got into your truck. He's a slob!!!! Maybe next time instead of waiting for your truck in the "waiting room", you should stand at the back of the bay and watch the tech service your truck. Sorry for the rant, but that kinda stuff just trips my trigger!!!!!

I was asking for some input! Thank you!

The service guy even said "we would normally wash it, but our equipment is down. Give me a heads up later in the week and I would be more than happy to detail it for you." He said this before I noticed the grease prints.

They did vacuum it out for me. And when I called them last night I told them that I would clean up their mess, I just didnt want this to be an every time thing.

PLEASE don't let them detail your truck or even wash it. I'm sure they use a "swirl-a-matic" drive thru that will scratch the hell out of your paint. They, in all probability, don't have anyone that is trained in detailing and they may very well do more damage to your truck's paint. The "wash rack" is usually the "entry" point for employees, and they have the least ability and training of anyone in the service department. I think I'd just impress on them you expect them to treat your truck with a little more care and respect.

On a brand new truck, and they go in and ***** it up with grease. U would not want to know my reaction, as I'd be in the Local Constabulary Caboose/////

ADDED: For the non-military, '*****" is a well known and renown Mission Capable Status term used, LMAO

The new Porsche dealership in Grapevine (Texas) has a huge glass wall between the waiting area (it ain't just a room) and the service bays...one may sit in a nice leather chair and enjoy a latte while watching those well-paid techs service your ride! If only FCA could convince its dealer network to arrange things so...

Thanks guys!

Well, customer service never called me yesterday. So I will call them after work today. I have 3 years free maintenance and really want this to work out. But if they continue to treat the truck like this than I'll be doing my oil changes myself...
