Hi all, I recently bought a used 2019 Ram 2500 Cummins with 60k on clock and have noticed that the braking system is not great. You really have to press hard to get it to stop, especially with a trailer behind it. Sometimes it seems like you have to stand on them especially in reverse. Has anyone else experienced this? My 2019 Ram 1500 will stop on a dime with very little foot pressure, not the 2500 though. Curious and Thanks

I would say that's unusual for sure. My '22 2500 CTD empty stops a bit better empty than my '16 1500 did with braided lines and powerstops on all 4 corners unless I'm trying to do a full on emergency stop unloaded comparing trying to stop a tank vs a half ton. I would pressure the dealer you got it from IMO.

I would be looking for a way to check to see if the Booster, that the Master Cylinder is bolted too
is functioning correctly

Well of course the 2500 is a lot heavier than your 1500, so theres more weight to have to handle there. My 3500 was a great truck, but the brakes on it were always the only thing I wasnt thrilled with over all. I always thought they were under performing. At 60k miles maybe its time to refresh the pads?

You are just not used to driving a 8000lb+ truck.... A 1500 drives like a car.
