202 Ram 1500 Limited Purchased - was it the right one?

I had a 17 R/T and I loved it. I came out of my Ram into it and then bought my Ram back a few years later. I really enjoyed all of the luxuries of the Durango vs my Ram, but as others have stated you cant haul a lot in the Durango, The ram can haul and haul 5-6 people. They drive about the same IMO. The Durango to me drives like a truck. I would keep a few months and see if it doesnt change your mind.

I am new to this forum. I've owned a 2014 Dodge Durango Citadel and really like the DJCR family. I've always drooled over the Ram 1500 and I bought a slightly used one the other day. And, unfortunately, I now have significant buyer's remorse. So, now I'm trying to convince myself to keep it or put it up for sale and wait for the Dodge Durango SRT to be more available. I'm not asking for any sympathy but, also ask that you hold off on the "too f'n bad" replies. Instead, I'm asking for constructive reasons to keep the Ram 1500. If you've moved from an SUV to a pickup, what benefits did you realize?

We've had a 2019 Limited for years. Never have regretted the buy. Lots of standard gear, hope you have a 3.92 rear end. Bought the MOPAR Cargo divider, would not recommend. I think you can find a better after market system. We had to do a little chopping to get it to fit with RetraxPro cover, highly recommend Retrax for secure bed

You bought the Cadillac of trucks! Limited models have it all.
1) I've only seen a few (in TX) with moose mirrors, but you should be able to find some stock regular mirror takeoffs and install them or get them installed pretty easily.
2) There are multiple types of dividers out there, from bed platforms with drawers and adjustable dividers to cargo nets. It all depends on your price range and needs. Remember, you have that huge rear seat area for groceries and other "clean" goods.
3) Gas mileage - it's a truck. Make sure you're running the right (recommended) gas octane (I use only non-ethanol). City driving (especially if you are anywhere near DC) is going to be low MPG. Highway with the active cruise set, I can get closer to 20 MPG, but not quite.
4) Personal preference after living in Ohio 25 years: Only go 4WD in snow if you are stuck and/or staying under 20. 4WD at high speeds can make it harder to control. And yes, sand bags over the rear wheels helps, plus it can be used under wheels for traction if necessary (it's not great but it can help).
5) Take her to a few RV expos and find out what she likes in a "Travel Suite." There are some pretty nice set ups, and happy wife, happy life. Me? I gave up on camping and started cruising. Leveled in the casino and they keep sending me "free" cruise offers. And I usually take my wife but not all the time (it's a work thing). I can sail for a week for less than the gas to haul a trailer across two states and back.

Drive it a bit and see. If it's just you most the time, or you and her, why buy a people mover other than personal preference? I think the truck will grow on you, mine has.

Thanks to everyone for their kind and thoughtful responses. I am getting used to the truck and used it this past weekend for a camping trip - it was great. I guess it was just "new truck" jitters.

HEY, good for U, DRIVE it, use it, enjoy it. WTH, U bought the top of the line model with almost every convenience there. Us lowly trim guys are just as happy too, LOL. All the trucks are built with the Same engine/drivetrain except for air suspension, so they are all basically the same except for all the Bling...

NE WAY, Drive and Enjoy yer ride. As a side note, Keep the MX up especially timely oil changes and use good oil/filters. Plenty of threads on that in forum.

Kept my Durango when I bought there Ram.....bought of their uses
ince I do a loty of constructing the ram is much more handy for that than the Durango.....there are times when you need a SUV for other family things
