Hi everyone. I’m looking to come back into the Ram family and I need some advice. I traded my 2015 1500 Limited towards a new 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Sahara about a year and a half ago. The Jeep is great for what it is and I’ve always wanted to try one, but as a daily driver I’m looking to get back to the comfort, amenities, plush ride, and utility of a Ram Limited, so my Jeep days are coming to an end.

I’m ready to order and I have all my options locked in IE: 5.7 Hemi, 3.92, 33 Gal Tank, Rambox, Pano-roof, etc. The only thing I can’t decide is between the two colors I want.

On one hand I want to order it all blacked out with the black appearance package, etc. for the pure, unadulterated bad-assery of the way that looks. My inner 16 year old is telling me to get it, but having owned black vehicles in the past I know they can be a nightmare to keep looking good. On the other hand I also like the metallic white with the two-tone Indigo/Frost interior. I sat in one at the car show and it was stunning. I mean really beautiful. But I’m concerned the lighter seat color will get stained/discolored easily, especially when I’m carting around my son and his little league buddies.

Those are the only two colors I am considering. My previous Ram and Jeep were both Granite Crystal so I’m staying away from the grey family. The blue isn’t dark enough for me, and I’m not much of a red guy.

So if anyone has any experience with either of these two color combinations I would love to hear from you.

Thank you for your time.

3 kids in sports here. All I do in my afternoons and weekends is haul kids around. Go with Black interior. We recently had a Pilot with light interior that took a beating in just 2 years. My 2500 interior is black and so is the wifes Durango , it just works so much better with the kids. Exterior colors all can look good, I currently have Billet but probably would go back to white on next one.

Thank you for your advice. I ended up compromising and got a 2020 White with black interior which had just arrived with the exact equipment I wanted. I should be getting it tomorrow or the next day. Thanks again.

Sounds great, post a pic of your new truck when you get a chance!

I have the tricoat Ivory white with the light frost interior and have had no problems with the lighter color seats. The black interior just looks plain to me compared to the lighter interior.
