New here. Joined in May when I purchased a new Ram 2500 Laramie with a Cummins. Circumstances changed and did not need that much truck. Traded last Friday October 22 for a 1500 limited with the non- etorque 5.7.
This morning it started knocking. I took the truck to a local Ram dealer even though I did not purchase from them. They had no 1500s in stock to even look consider trading for. The dealer I purchased from is 80 miles away.
They were very nice and said they would look at it today. The service manager was hoping it was not an engine problem.
Turns out to be coming from the engine. Can’t get to in until Monday but suspects a rod.
Only 370 miles. Pretty disappointed right now. He said he has never seen this before.
He did say with this low miles he would not repair but insist on a new engine.
