2021 Ram Laramie

Malfunction indicator light came on; couldn't get a dealer appointment for 10 days. Light comes on; and health report says it's a powertrain trigger. Light goes off for a few days; comes back on for several hours and goes off again for several more days. Runs fine; no issues. Bought new tire got state inspection; checked out fine of course light wasn't on then. Two days later back on. Frustrating anyone else have this? Frustrating you can't get in quick enough so it bothers you.

Next time it comes on stop by an autozone or some place that can scan it and maybe point you in the right direction.

Dealer says the light is triggering due to a code that says Fuel Imbalance now they are saying $2300 just to get to the issued and find out what it is. Anyone else have this issue. Every Ram I get I get close to 80k miles and have some kind of weird issue like this. Frustrating because I love the truck. Runs find just the light comes on and will go out for days and then come back on.

I live in Midlothian as well. My dealer is Whitten Bros on Midlo Turnpike. Have good results there, but expensive. Do you have a code reader? Like someone noted try going to an autoparts place and see if they can pull the code(s).
Then post the codes up on the forums to see what the fellow users have to say.
Once the codes are known higher potential to get potential solutions.

Quick follow up to my 2021 Ram Laramie. So the code pulled P219A. So they had to do a complete tear down; replace camshaft lifters and cam phasers. Super expensive repair thank goodness for the warranty. Truck FYI has 74k miles. Truck ran fine have had zero issues and still continued to run fine until the service engine light came on and gave the fuel imbalance indication. Whitten provided very good service very lengthy repair just got it back had been in the shop for almost 3 weeks.
