Posting for a friend. She's got a 2021 V6 RAM with 4500km on it.
So couple days ago her truck started making this weird sound like sputtering and churning out white smoke.
Last night we looked online and tried the electronic throttle reset. That fixed that problem.
But her boyfriend checked the oil in -29C / -20F and there was no oil. He put in 2.5qt and it showed full. Warmed up the engine and put another qt in and everything showed fine. Haven't checked it since last night.
There's been no black snow beneath where they park and as I understand it oil doesn't simply just disappear. Can someone give me some insight as to what could possibly have happened?
And does anyone know if the electronic throttle system is a common problem?
