2024 3.6L V6 Pentastar Engine

Considering selling the wife's Jeep and buying a 2024 Durango. It comes standard with the V6 Pentastar and I know there was a lawsuit for that engine in the 2014 - 2020 models. Anyone have an opinion about that engine in the new model vehicles...or the Dodge Durango in general? Appreciate any insight.

I wanted to get her the 5.7 Hemi, but you have to start with the $55,000 unit to get it. It's not even available as an option on anything less. I'm not paying $55k for a Durango grocery getter.

Maybe get her a "Prius" and put "RAM' emblems on the vehicle in prominent places? lol...

I've drove my friends '22 Durango many times, the 3.6 has plenty of power for even well spirited freeway driving. The engine has also been known to easily top 200K miles. About the only thing the V6 doesn't have is the rumble of the Hemi but it's a grocery getter..who cares.

My stepdaughter has one and she loves it, It's a lease and she's going to buy it out, It's a muti person transporter.

I’m not above bribery. Whatever my wife wants, she gets. That way I have a better chance of getting what I want. Within reason of course

Thanks for all the replies. We'll take a more serious look at the Durango in the next couple of months when we get ready to buy.
