Hello to all my name is Hilary

I purchased 2024 Ram Rebel in December 2024 with 13,000 from Carl Burger Dodge La Mesa Ca I now have 42,000 dealer serviced oil changes last week I am informed their techs never rotated tires which is standard in their service so my tires are shot after only putting 26,00 on this truck Discount Tire literally gave me one of the rear tires to take to them tread worn almost to slick grade 2 Wrangler Mud
Now costing me $1500 for new set

Not done with the biggest problem is the Pinion Seal yep read all about this " Misting" is their word Carl Burger Dodge Ram case started Jennifer says she has to go with their tech words not warranty covered on "misting" even on the drive shaft and yok I have 100,000 warranty they apparently wait until it fails Seriously WTF misting/sweaty seal is showing early failure and yet refuse to cover since fluid is at normal range

Battery and Screen failed I have owned this truck for 1.5 years I love the truck but WTF Ram Corporate and Carl Burger Dodge La Mesa Ca

Suggestions?

Unfortunately, most dealerships are varying ranges of grossly incompetent at most functions beyond filling of the windshield washer fluid.

We as truck owners need to become educated before visiting the stealership and make certain any maintenance or repairs are completed correctly.

I know, this is a sad state of affairs, and you would expect after dropping big bucks that they could at the very least, cover basic maintenance reasonably well.

You would be very wrong.
Sorry to make this announcement.

First off, the techs that performs oil changes and tire rotations are the most junior in the shop. Most places provide some amount of supervision but, you should know how that goes.

i have summer and winter wheels and used to have them changed at the end of season with oil changes and warranty checks.

They screwed up the tire rotations twice before I started doing them myself again.
If you choose to let them do the rotations, make sure that you chalk the tire positions on the inside first.

I also used a black Penman marker to number the tires at the valvestem. This allows for easy verification without hanging under the truck.

And learn about tire rotations, and inform the service advisor (SA) how you want them done. Then check the new wheel positions before you leave.

Could you post a picture of the offending seal?
Can you hear any noise from the rear end when changing speed?

Many Stealerships don't like doing warranty work because they make less money on them. The exact wording used on warranty claims will have the claim accepted or rejected, and they know this in advance.

I would advice that you find another dealership and try your luck again with the leaking pinion seal.

I would visit the service department and ask them outright if they will provide warranty coverage or not. Don't even take the truck in until you find some reassurance that they will identify it as leaking or weaping.

A picture of the leaking seal would be helpful during this process.

And if you should not be able to find a competent and supportive stealership, consider completing the work yourself or finding a small competent shop to do the work.

The pinion seal likely costs about $25 or $30, and the labour should not be more than 60-90 minutes.

I know it's hateful to have to spend money when this should be covered by warranty, but sometimes you have to choose your battles.

Your time and grief with this Mopar warranty just might not be worth the aggravation to save a few $.

And welcome to Ram Forum.

Tires are not warranted.
Try a different dealer for service.
