2500 flares on a 1500 Big Horn???

Been looking for fender flares and have run across a set from a 2500. I know they will fit but just not come down as far in the front. Anyone have a 1500 truck with the chrome bumpers that has installed the 2500 flares. Every picture I find or thread is about a Sport.

Also, I found a set from a Rebel, which are black.... Do you think black flares would look good on a bright silver truck???

I believe that the rebel flares are actually from a 2500. I can't help you with a pic of those on a chrome bumper though sorry. They look sweet on express and sports though. I am actually looking for a set for my express now.

Like said, rebel flares look to be the same (or very similar) to 2500.

Get 1500 flares for your truck, the 2500 will look goofy.

OK, that what I was worried about.... i couldn't find any info but read somewhere that people have put the 2500 flares on a 1500. I'm guessing they will look the best painted to match my truck instead black also.

My understanding is that the won't fit.
The 2500 flares will fit 1500's with painted bumpers only not chrome. I believe they go past to the chrome bumper part which will be an issue, and it will fit and look better on a 1500 painted bumper because of that.

I thought the 2500 flares will fall short of any 1500 bumpers kind of like the bushwacker ones. If you don't want the rebel ones where did you find them if you don't mind me asking?

A lot of people have put the 2500 flares on Sports/Express (myself included), as they blend in better. 1500's would look best on yours because they would cut off just above your chrome bumper, whereas the 2500's will stop in between. And yeah, I prefer color matched.
