Just purchased my 17" rims to replace the stock 20s on my 13' Sport, cant decide on which wheels to purchase, both cost pretty much the same. Duratracs in a stock 17" size, would they look too small? or the 33" bfg ATs? would they look as aggressive? thoughts?

I have found that BFGs wear out way to fast. I have tried them on my other trucks. Hated them.

Why don't you get 285/70R17 DuraTracs?

I just did a quick search and through tirebuyer.com you can get 4 285/70R17 DuraTracs shipped for $1,062.28 if you use the "retailmenot50" discount code at checkout. I've also found that a lot of tire shops will match internet prices...you just have to haggle with them over mounting prices and protection plans (if you want that).

If you replaced the 20s, you may want the 33" tires. However, that doesn't mean you have to get the BFGs. The 265/70 would be about 1.5" smaller than your OE tires. They will look small to you. They look small to me, and they are my OE tires.

Up here (northern AB canada) the 285 duratracs are about $90 more per tire then the bfgs but i do like the duratrac look... i probably wont go with an E rated as its just my family truck no hauling or towing so its a bit cheaper that way

BFGs don't like ice one bit. They eat snow all day long but anything slick under them and you just spin.

I agree. I had BFG's on my truck when I got it. Although they were used they were fairly new and had a lot of tred on them. But the side walls were flaking like crazy and I was scared to drive with the tires. They were also horrible in the rain and I remember driving on the grass and not being able to get traction at all. I went and got futon scramblers at pep boys for $700 until I can save up for new rims and 35's. I am looking into toyo open country all terrains in 35's

I've ran both. No comparison...duratracs. Spend the extra money and get the size you want though. $360 over 50000 miles isn't a big deal :)
