I searched for a bit now and cant find exactly what I am lookig for... I just bought a set of KO2's in 275/65/20 and a set of rims in 20x10. I was just looking over the specs of the tire again on BFG's website and noticed that the size tire I purchased is for a 7.5"-9.5" wide rim. As I mentioned I purchased 20x10 rims. Does anyone know if the rim being half an inch wider than BFG recommends will be an issue for me? I would call the tire shop and order the 285/65/20 KO2's but they are like 70 bucks more per tire... So if I dont have to do that I wont. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone has any pics of this rim/tire size setup I am getting I would love to see how stretched it looks if at all. Thanks all!!

Calling the tire shop and asking them if the tire will fit would be much quicker, since I assume you will be calling them to set an appointment to have them mounted after someone replies to this thread.

i come from the lowered car scene.. w always stretched our tires way more that a half inch to fit fenders... in my opinion thats a very minor stretch and should be fine.. but the truck world is new to me, so ill let the vets chime in

Yes they will fit. I run 285/50r20 on a 20x12 rim.

My Laramie has 20" wheels, not sure of the other measurement. I do know that my stock tire size is 275/60/20, and this weekend I got new tires with a size of 275/65/20. The tire shop guy seemed to know his trade well and I basically went with his suggestion for the slightly bigger tire.

Yeah I will have to call them I suppose... I ordered the rims/tires through them, just waiting on the rims to come in. I know if I call the guy will look at the specs and say oh looks like you should get the 285's. I was hoping to have someone have done this and chime in to my rescue and say they had no issues lol.

Yeah my cousin comes from the MOAR STRETCH world also lol. He said it would be minor stretch as well but like you I dont know how it would affect a truck tires ability to perform, especially under load... I think normal driving will be ok but I am concerned about towing.

Yes they will fit. I run 285/50r20 on a 20x12 rim.

Got any pics of those tires, so I can see the stretch? Ever have any issues towing?

it can be done, but there is always the possibility that the tire shop won't do it for liability reasons.

Next thing to consider is are you going to like the stretched tire look? also because its being stretched it won't be as tall as listed.

Yep I think you are a 20x9 rim also. I think my big horn is a 20x8.5, not exactly sure though... the 275/65/20 would fit perfect on my stock rims. Just worried about the extra half inch you know...

Yeah I definitely have to call them and see if will do it since the guy who ordered the tires didnt notice.

I think I will be ok with the stretched look. I never thought about the stretch taking height away. So I would really only gain a half inch of height with the stretch probably. Which will still be good enough. I am just concerned if there will be issues with the tires abilities while towing and what not...

because its not an extreme stretch and they are 65 tall tires I don't think you will lose a lot of height, but i said it because it came to mind lol

Valid thought for sure. I am looking at alternate sizes now, so heavy and so much more money lol Screw it, if the tire shop will put them on I will let em. If I hate the way they look or have concerns I believe I have a few days to decide if I want to keep them or not.

Thanks for all the input guys. The shop said they would put them on and would be fine. All I am waiting for now is one rim... I cant believe three rims come in and the fourth is somewhere else lol

What did you end up doing? I'm in the market for rims but my tires are only a couple months old. I was thinking I'd get 20 x 10 in case I upsize my tires at some point..
