Will they fit? The 285 work out to about 35 inches tall and 10.5 wide while the 295 are 35 x 11

Yup...I put 285/75x18's on my 07 MegaCab and the 2014 HD CC before I put the level kits on. No issues with rubbing at all.

I've got 325/65/18 on mine. Had to trim some of the inner lower wheel well out and only rub at full lock in reverse. But I also have aftermarket wheels, not stock

I just put 295/70/18s on my stock height 2500 on +1 offset wheels and I'm getting a very slight rubbing on the left front when I make a hard turn and hit a bump, like turning into a driveway. It just barely rubs but it bugs me so I'm getting a level done on the front Friday. Also, just a maybe, but I have a grille guard and winch mount on the front so maybe that pulls down the front end just a hair allowing the rubbing.

Tiresize.com says a 295 / 75/ 18 is 34.8 x 11.2 x 18 and a 295 / 70 / 18 is 34.3 x 11.6 x 18

I run cooper AT3's in 295/70/18 stock height no level kit. I have no rubbing. Also I measured my tires and they are 34" tall. I am sure it varies by tire brand/type. do have after market rims. Not sure what offset.20180202_125442.jpg

Looks great. I’m 99% decided that I’m going to run 285/75-18 on my stock chrome rims. I’d rather be a little taller and skinnier. I’m looking at Coopers as well. They seem to have good reviews and good tread life without the Toyo/Nitto price tag

That’s definitely what I’m after next time I get tires. What is that level kit?

Just a spacer from rugged off-road, 1.75", and bilsteins.

I pondered this question for weeks, and was even told from virtually everyone I spoke with at Discount Tire that 285/75/18 wouldn't fit on my STOCK (no level or lift) 2019 Ram 2500 Tradesman. They told me I wouldn't be able to even get out of the parking lot due to how bad it would rub. Well, they were wrong. I did my research on this subject and I made my final decision to go with 285/75/18 with a wheel offset of +18. No rubbing anywhere whatsoever, on road OR off-road.

295/70/18 had no issue on factory wheels. Slight rub on aftermarket wheels.

The wheel offset is the limiting factor, stay close to stock and you should have any problems with bigger tires.
