I recently purchased a 2001 Cummins, AT, 4x4 with 225K miles, Edge programmer...... I knew it was due for service so I did it all including new fuel filter & separator and it ran fine for about 200 miles but now when it falls below around 1400 rpm the edge starts chipping and fuel pressure
drops to 3 or 4 psi but only for several seconds (just enough to give me a panic attack) then comes right back up to 19-21 psi range - does anyone know what the expected life of that pump might be ? It will do what I described randomly but if I turn off OD it seems to be less often (I have no idea when the FASS was installed)
