Hi all, i have 2025 3.0L I6 with stand output (SST) and had put her to hard work, x3 towing already and will be doing more towing. i want to replace transmission fluid (for insanity sake) and did some research for Xmission/gasket and it seems no one has done it yet (youtubers). i found one of the OEM Mopar online sell parts and they show "transmission oil Filter=68417054AB) and "Oil Pan Gasket= 68172556AA". does anyone know if these are correct part#? just want to get 2nd opinions since the terminology they use aren't clear to me.

thx

ZF, the people who made your transmission, recommend changing the fluid between 50k and 75k miles. Doing it before then is a waste of money. You've got a 2025 truck, no way you've put that many miles on it yet.

Kinda early there 22***.

Neither Dorman or PPE, the 2 big guys in the tranny pan area/replacement even have a listing for a 2025 RAM Yet. You could trying contacting ZF and see if you could purchase direct.

Why don’t you go to a Dodge dealer part’s department with your VIN - that will ensure you are able to get the correct (and OEM) part?

If I was you and absolutely wanted it changed I would take it to the dealer and have them do it.

On the other hand I simply would let it go for many many more miles.

What have you been towing and how many miles have you actually towed something. From your post some might draw the conclusion that you might have been exceeding the recommended towing limits?! X3 :)

As far as i know they use the same 8HP75 behind the 6's as they use behind the hemi's,so any pan/filter for a 8HP75 should fit.But as stated you're a bit early to service the transmission, plus it's not exactly cheap to service them.Wait until you have at least 50,000 miles on the truck

thx for all info's. Like i said (peace of mind) and like to do things by myself. there is nothing wrong with the truck after x3 towing and it runs great after close to 20K. i had it since Nov 2024.

I'd also look at installing the @caulk04 8spd transmission cooler bypass upgrade.
It'll drop the trans temps up to 30C and the engine temps 3C to 5C as well.
Probably not the best idea to go modifying the transmissions on a brand new truck. At least not until the warranty is up. I try to give the bean counters zero ammo to deny a warranty claim.

The beauty of my bypass valve is you cannot see it. The thermal unit is a 'non-serviceable' item so there's never a reason to open it or for them to check anything.

FWIW - I did just check the Mopar parts listing, his truck does still use the same thermal unit so my parts will fit.

I hear you on this...but zero issues ;)

My truck is new and full factory warranty, as was my previous one.
This mod was installed within the first few weeks of ownership on each.

If you have a transmission warrenty claim,Caulk's bypass is easy to remove and then re-install the factory transmission thermostat before the truck goes to the dealer

I still ain't doing it. Not on a $8000 transmission from the factory. If there's any indication you fuggered with that transmission that's all the reason they need to deny a warranty claim. Then it's on YOU to take them to court over it at YOUR cost.
