I have seen a lot on the Baxter Performance oil filter adapter on Jeep forums and nothing on Ram forums. Has anyone had experience with these and what were your thoughts for the Ram 1500 Pentastar? Here is what I am talking about, in case anyone is not aware. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-mHDMZjP6Q

My 4th and now 5th gen’s had no issue. I change it myself and both, I can feel when the O ring grips and then slowly ratchet until I feel to bump of the lip seating it. I might be wrong but, I’d say the majority of the filter leaks are from rough quick change places and poorly trained techs.

First off, nice truck! I also agree with you. Over torqueing the top is the likely culprit on many , but the plastic does degrade as well.
