3.6L Pentastar redline?

I noticed that my '19 RAM Classic tach sweeps to 0-7 (X1000), but there are no yellow or red segments in the higher ranges. Every engine has a redline at some point. Any ideas why none is indicated in the 3.6L powered RAM Classic? Also, does the new RAM have a redline point indicated? Just curious, thanks.

3.6L Pentastar V6: 6500 RPM

4.7L PowerTech V8 : 5500 RPM

5.7L Hemi V8 : 5500 RPM

Ah, OK. That probably explains why the tach does not have yellow and red segments displayed. FCA probably wanted a "one size fits all" instrument cluster for the RAM regardless of engine size, so they left off the colored segments off entirely.

Exactly, even though in late 2012 to early 2013 i remember the prototype 7’ premium clusters having redlines.

This begs a followup question: Is there an engine governor in the TIPM as well that keeps the motor (any motor) from passing redline?

I don’t really think so as i’m not very educated on that topic, but if i had to guess, no. Not a part of the PCM (iirc) so i wouldn’t think it’d have anything to do with engine redline
