Considering the cost of used front differentials these days I'm considering just buying a new one when I regear from 3.21. Only can't seem to figure out which part number is which gear ratio. The following are part numbers online. But none of them list the ratio. Unless I'm missing it somewhere. LOL

Just do the Gen 3 front diff swap. Will be way cheaper and its an all around better front diff.

I'm considering it as well since I'll be able to go lower than 3.92. I wouldn't hate 4.10 or 4.56 instead. I gotta find your thread again on the swap. IIRC you had one of the better detailed posts with what is needed for the swap.

I just realized I am in a similar situation. My front diff cracked and need to get a replacement. It's 392 geared so would need similar swap. 100k truck I just rebuilt the whole lift and new tires so need to keep costs reasonable. It's a 5.7 sport 1500 short bed crew cab. 2017. Vin 1C6RR7MTXHS625121. Local aftermarket vendor did pro comp 6" lift gears and it's riding on 37x12.5x20 nittos.1000003246.jpg

I have a low mileage 3.92 front carrier I’d sell for $800. I also have a rear axle too.

For what it’s worth with the folks wanting lower gearing than 3.92, they do make options for that in the new style front carriers now too.

Gen 3 diff swap is cheaper and you get a better diff. Unless you really want 4.88 then you have no choice to keep the GEN 4 diff.

Yukon spent all that money R&D and didnt even make a front locker for it. What a compete joke and the price of the kit is hilarious.

That’s true, the gears alone were over $1000 if I remember correctly.
