Well figured I’d start a build thread on my “first gen” gasser. For starters it’s an 86’ d250 that the drivetrain has been swapped for a 90’ drivetrain. It has the 318 tbi with the 4spd trans. It has had all the wiring swapped for the newer tbi and all came from a donor truck. Long story short hit the truck put together and blew a headgasket. What I get for not resealing a 30yr old engine when I had it out the first time. So now it’s getting new gaskets and getting put back together. Then the fun stuff will come making it look better. Right now waiting on parts and some aftermarket gauges I ordered to put in. Here’s some pics of it all nasty. Trust me won’t be that way when it’s done already started cleaning everything up. 85674EF8-4757-4FAE-974F-943167EA9182.jpegE2B24C9D-3E3C-4094-A951-45FAD88B7AA6.jpegE31B1573-BB50-4290-A584-3B920DE56DA2.jpeg5840053A-DE10-4381-AE68-44C6477E4383.jpeg

Looks good. Must be nice to live in a state that doesn't salt the roads, during the winter!

Well got it put back together over the weekend. Spent most of the day trying to get i back running chasing a No spark issue and turns out I had missed a ground m. Started right up afterwards. Now just redoing the vacuum stuff. Most of those plastic lines that go into the 3 solenoids broke so trying to fix those. I think it’ll run much better once it’s all hooked up right. 733914A8-CBC9-41D6-ABF0-572DD2CCCB87.jpeg
